This book is about Mary Lennox who was sent away from her parents and taken to her uncle's to live. Mary was born in India and she was the most disagreeable looking child they had ever seen. Her parents wanted her out of their sight and she was kept away for a long time. One day Mary went to the care of Ayah and a couple of days after that her Ayah died and she was left in a place on her own and no one came to help her. All of a sudden two men had come to look for someone and they found a little girl standing in the middle of the two beds. Then Mary was taken across the Moor and she was going to live with a lady named Martha. My favourite part was when Mary found a key to a garden but she didn't know which garden door the key will fit in. On a hot day Robin was skipping for ages and Mary asked him where the garden that matches the keyhole was. Mary did not believe him that he could find it. But when Robin shows off he likes to sing and Mary opened the gate and she slipped on the grass and was leaning on the gate.
